Jobs and News News Sittingbourne Group's Fun Day of Growth & Teamwork Members of our Sittingbourne Preparation for Employment group recently took on a new challenge as part of their personal development sessions - planning and organising their own trip. Working together, the group made decisions about where to go and how to spend their time. They chose a day out bowling and in the arcade, before heading back to The Pulse to relax with pizza and a movie. The day wasn’t just about having fun — it was also a chance to put planning skills into practice. Group member Jaden shared how much he enjoyed being involved in every step of the process: “The trip was good and it was good to go against staff to win. I played to the best of my ability and liked planning the trip.” There was plenty of laughter and friendly rivalry as the group went head-to-head with bemix staff on the bowling lanes, cheering each other on and celebrating their scores. Tutor Paige highlighted the teamwork and effort behind the day: “It was great to see everyone work as a team to plan their trip and to see everyone enjoying themselves. The group’s hard work definitely paid off!” Activities like this support people to build confidence, independence and teamwork skills, while creating positive shared experiences outside the classroom. Well done to everyone involved! Would you like to find out more about the Preparation for Employment Programme? Click here for more Click below to see how you can get involved.
