Canterbury Supported Interns Take on an Alien Escape Room Challenge 🚀

Supported Interns in Canterbury put their teamwork and problem-solving skills to the test during a fun and imaginative classroom-based escape room.

Six interns took on the challenge to complete a series of tasks and uncover the keyword that would defend us against an alien invasion.

From breaking cyphers and identifying mystery objects to solving jumbled stories, the group worked together to crack each clue.

The classroom was full of focus, laughter and determination as everyone played their part in solving the puzzle. Activities like this are a great way to build confidence, communication skills and resilience — all while having fun together.

Ben, who took part in the session, shared:

“The escape room was fun, I liked the movie cypher quiz and it was funny to watch Jack count so many moon rocks!!!”

Teacher Jody explained why these sessions are so valuable:

“I have done 3 Escape Rooms set within the classroom now and all of the students really enjoy them. It’s good to exercise their problem solving skills and having some fun!”

Classroom escape rooms provide an inclusive and supportive space where interns can strengthen their problem-solving abilities, develop teamwork skills and grow in confidence. It’s fantastic to see everyone engaging so positively and encouraging one another throughout the challenge.

Well done to the Canterbury Supported Internship group for embracing the challenge with enthusiasm and teamwork, and for successfully defending us against an alien invasion! 👏
